In March 2012, OSHA revised its Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) to align with the United Nations' Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). The changes will help to improve worker understanding of the hazards associated with the chemicals in the workplace. In order to stay compliant with these new standards, employers must train their employees by December 1, 2013. The documents listed below consists of four training guides, the Safety Data Sheets (SDS's) that must be present at all work sites where chemicals are present, and a brief training video that reviews all of the changes that come along with the new classification system and how to properly read the new labels. Please have all employees who have reviewed this material or who have attended a training regarding this information sign off to acknowledge that they have done so to keep for your records.
